Liepaja’s media art festival “Illuminated Liepaja”

Liepaja’s streets and facades of buildings will be revitalized by sound, light and video installations, dedicated to the city’s anniversary. For two days, popular – and not so popular – locales, will play host to local and foreign visitors in a luminous world. You will be able to take part in interactive installations, and hear the various greetings from Latvian and foreign artists on Liepaja’s anniversary.

Liiv Village Celebration

One of the largest traditional culture events in Latvia combining folk and ethno music with traditional culture, arts&crafts, as well as food sampling. This huge trade show also highlights craftsmanship. A broad programme of folk dance and music, painting, modelling and others, showing Latvian heritage and history through old and contemporary ways of expression.

Sea Festival in Liepaja

The Sea Festival’s start signal will the horns of ships, ahead of the commemorative moment for fishermen and sailors who have perished in the deep. The festive mood will be brought in by a wide variety of entertainment events, sports contests. The welcoming ceremony of Neptune is an integral part of the Sea Festival. There will also be an arts&crafts fair.

Street theater festival “Earth. Sky. Sea”

LMT Summer Sound

The festival’s location on Liepāja’s beach has been praised both by the artists and by fans. Every summer for two days this festival gathers together thousands of lovers of good music, diverse arts, and quality entertainment, and – for sure – the air is filled with great sound, fun and laughter. More than fifty bands, DJs and artists perform on the festival’s stages, delivering a variety of music styles that will cater to any taste.
